Trip to the Nashville Public Library Archives

In September, the class visited the Nashville Public Library to research African American historical sites. Students utilized the library’s Civil Rights Room to review the archival collection focused on the Civil Rights Movement in Nashville and around the world.

Trip to Fort Negley

In late October, the class visited Fort Negley to gain a deeper understanding of one of Nashville’s largest Civil War sites.

Trip to The Hermitage

In late August, the class visited The Hermitage to enable students to learn about the history of slavery at the plantation.
