Check out our SiC subarray work!
Ending 2021 with our fresh ACS Nano paper! In this work, we exploit more complicated unit-cell structures to realize localized surface phonon polaritons (LSPhP) modes with additional degrees of design freedom. Our subarrays described here represent a modal design platform that offers the low-loss, subdiffractional confinement of light associated with LSPhPs, but expanding the precise spectral tuning of the electromagnetic resonances, near-field distributions, and potential to be hybridized with other resonances resulting from the subarray architecture. Great collaboration again with Chris and Simone at U of Southampton, and Tom at U of Iowa, Ivan at ORNL, Joseph and Marko at NRL. Check it out here! https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acsnano.1c08557
