2nd Alain Aspect Symposium
Prof. Caldwell is attending the 2nd Alain Aspect Symposium, with a focus on addressing climate change with quantum technologies. As part of the symposium he gave a talk highlighting the advances in polaritonics gas sensing using so called Tamm polaritons, an advance in his lab that came from funding from the Office of Naval Research. The prototype presented was based on advanced sensing of CO2 for climate monitoring, with sensors being developed for other greenhouse gases.
