Powered Knee and Ankle Prosthesis
We have conducted a considerable amount of research in powered knee and ankle transfemoral prostheses, having developed three generations of powered knee and ankle devices, and developed controllers for walking, slope ascent and descent, stair ascent and descent, running, cycling, and stumble recovery (in addition to other tasks), and also developing and examining a number of different control methodologies for controlling and coordinating these tasks with user movement and movement intent.
