Several NCPI affiliates presented at the National Conference on Value-Added Modeling hosted by the Wisconsin Center for Education Research in April 2008. Dale Ballou (Vanderbilt University), J.R. Lockwood (RAND), and Daniel McCaffrey (RAND) were all featured in a recent article in Education Week covering the conference proceedings. The article addresses the strengths, limitations, and research efforts underway to improve the application of value-added modeling for education policy.
