NCPI director Matthew Springer has been appointed by Assistant Secretary of the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education Kerri Briggs to a new U.S. Department of Education round table on teacher and principal performance pay programs.

The committee will hold its initial meeting July 25 in Washington, D.C. Its aim is to develop an understanding of the fundamental components that go into making a successful performance pay system.
