The HPV ACTIVE Trans-Institutional Program will sponsor a symposium on HPV infection and associated cancers. Details on the event, which will be held Friday, March 2, 2018, can be found below.

What: Symposium on HPV Infection and Associated Cancers
When: Friday, March 2, 2018 (8 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
Where: VICC Conference Center (Room PRB 898)
Who: The event is open to all VU and VUMC faculty and students

Sessions will focus on:

• HPV epidemiology and biology
• HPV associated cancer prevention
• Novel immunotherapy approaches to HPV associated cancers

Keynote speakers from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Johns Hopkins will discuss the role of next generation sequencing of HPV, alternative HPV preventative vaccine strategies and emerging therapeutic HPV vaccines.

Session II * 9:15 – 10:30 a.m. * HPV Associated Cancer Prevention
Including presentations by Pamela C. Hull, Ph.D., and Marie R. Griffin, MD, MPH

Session III * 10:45 a.m. – 12 p.m. * Novel Immunologic Therapy Approaches to HPV Associated Cancers
Including presentation by Young J. Kim, MD, Ph.D.
