John Vrooman is a distinguished Vanderbilt University economics professor and an expert on sports economics. Professor Vrooman is a pioneer in the field of sports economics, and recognized as one of the top sports economists in the world. He has published extensive research on economics of intercollegiate and professional sports, game theory, labor and capital markets, venue finance and franchise evaluation. His academic research has been cited over a thousand times, and he has been quoted in almost every major news publication in North America and abroad. Vrooman is also a former NCAA-D1 college football player.
