Interview with NBC.
We’re writing a quick story on what money NFL draft pick Laremy Tunsil may have left on the table with his Twitter video last night. Do you potentially have any projections on what he will make as the 13th pick, compared with what he could have made picks earlier?
Vrooman’s draft pick law is that the value of the first round pick varies inversely with the square root of the pick.
So the 13th pick is equal to 1/ √13 =.277 or 27.7% of the value of the first pick. The second pick is 1/ √2 =70.7% of the 1st pick, and the third pick is 57.7% of pick 1.
Tunsil was slipping anyway but recently projected at pick #3. So his value at 13 is about 48% of his value at #3, or 28% of his value at #1.
