New working paper posted on teacher attitudes on pay for performance

A new working paper entitled, “Teacher Attitudes on Pay for Performance: A Pilot Study” has been added to the NCPI working paper series. The report, written by NCPI affiliate researcher Brian Jacob and NCPI director Matthew G. Springer details findings from a pilot study of teachers in Hillsborough County School District in Florida. The study examines teacher attitudes toward pay for performance policies, and how these views vary by teacher experience, subject area specialization, grade level(s) taught, educational background, personality characteristics, risk and time preferences, and feelings of efficacy.
