NCPI researchers present papers at the 32nd Annual Meeting of the American Education Finance Association

A number of researchers presented papers at the 32nd Annual Meeting of the American Education Finance Association. Mark Ehlert, Shawn Ni, and Michael Podgursky presented their work on late career mobility and retirement decisions for a cohort of mid-career Missouri public school teachers. Robert Costrell and Michael Podgursky presented their work that examined whether efficiency and equity considerations might suggest different approaches to pension benefits, as are found in higher education and the private sector, which have increasingly turned to cash balance plans. James Guthrie was part of a working group that provided policy makers, practitioners, and the public with comprehensive ideas and policy options for redesigning school finance to support student performance.
