Janet Hansen, a senior policy researcher at RAND Corporation and a researcher for the National Center on Performance Incentives, chaired a session on teacher effectiveness at the 2007 Research to Action Forum developed by the Regional Education Laboratory Midwest. The conference was entitled, Research to Action Forum—Advancing Research, Policy and Practice for Teacher Quality, and brought together policymakers, researchers, and practitioners from across the region to inform the individual and collective work around state teacher quality plans.
