NCPI affiliate researcher Laura Hamilton presented at an Education Writers Association regional seminar December 7-8. Dr. Hamilton, a researcher at RAND, presented “Reforming Educator Compensation: Current Trends and Future Directions” on the conference panel entitled “Pay for Performance: Here to Stay?” Her presentation included an overview of current pay for performance programs, a summary of research findings, a review of key challenges, and a projection of future directions for pay for performance. The seminar was hosted in Houston, Texas.
