Forest Fire Prevention

Welcome!

Welcome to the senior design page for the Vanderbilt Fire Prevention team. In September, our sponsor, Booz Allen Hamilton, tasked us with creating a low power, sustainable, affordable, fire prevention device. Our team, composed of four mechanical engineers and two civil engineers, spent the year diligently working to create such a device. As you click through the tabs in this webpage, you will learn more about the challenge our team was presented with, its design constraints, and why our team chose to design our device around the conditions found in San Bernardino National Forest. You will also see the prototypes the team came up with along the way to creating our final prototype. We hope you enjoy learning more about our project.
