Inferior Fronto-Occipital Fasciculus – ifo

Protocol PDF Document (version 1.2): ifoifo1

Instructions:

  1. Create two separate coronal ROI regions (at approx. coronal slice 110), one on each side

ifo2

  1. Create two separate coronal seed regions (at approx. coronal slice 91), one on each side

ifo3

  1. Create two additional separate coronal ROI regions (at approx. coronal slice 61), one on each side.

ifo4

  1. Create one ROA region on a sagittal slice at the midline.
  1. Check the left seed/ROI regions, then run fiber tracking. Based on this output, additional ROA placement will be clearer.
  1. Using the same ROA file, draw three more ROA regions: on the same three coronal slices as the seed/ ROI regions. Cover the entire slice then erase around the seed/ROI regions.
  1. In the region list, check only the left seed/ROI region and ROA regions, then perform fiber tracking. Under the tract list, make sure only the desired left tract is checked and highlighted in purple. Save region, tract, and density files.
  1. Uncheck the left seed/ROI region and check the right seed/ROI region and ROA region, then perform fiber tracking. Make sure only the desired right tract is checked and highlighted in purple. Save region, tract, and density files.

One Response to Inferior Fronto-Occipital Fasciculus – ifo

  1. Kurt says:

Recommend two ROIs, will remove necessity of drawing many ROAs. Need anatomical description of where ROIs are drawn.
